Project Director
Northeastern Utah Educational Services (NUES)
Position Summary
NUES seeks an experienced and visionary administrator for the position of Project Director to lead Project RISE: Building Resilient Youth, Strong Families, Safe Schools. The Project Director will work in partnership with Co-Project Director (NUES Executive Director) to oversee aspects of grant implementation, ensuring that project goals are achieved on time, within budget, and in compliance with federal, state, and organizational requirements. This position provides strategic leadership, day-to-day management, partnership coordination, and oversight of project personnel and activities.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of Project RISE across participating school districts (Daggett, Duchesne, and Uintah).
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements, reporting deadlines, budgets, and performance measures.
- Provide strategic leadership and project management to achieve project outcomes.
- Supervise project personnel and coordinate activities across partner organizations.
- Facilitate collaboration among schools, community mental health providers, families, youth, and evaluation partners.
- Monitor project implementation fidelity and continuous improvement efforts.
- Prepare progress reports, presentations, and grant documentation for funding agencies.
- Support sustainability planning and long-term systems development.
- Support NUES organizational operations and agency-wide initiatives, performing additional duties as assigned to advance agency goals and priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s of Administration degree, Ed.S., Ed.D., Ph.D., or related advanced degree in education, psychology, social work, public administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in education, mental health, grant management, systems change, or related fields.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale initiatives and managing complex partnerships.
- Strong knowledge of school mental health, MTSS/PBIS, youth development, and educational systems.
- Experience managing budgets, contracts, and federal grant requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAMHSA, Department of Education, or other federal grants.
- Experience implementing Interconnected Systems Framework (ISF), MTSS, PBIS, or related initiatives.
- Knowledge of rural education and behavioral health systems.
Position Location: Heber City, UT | NUES Office
Reports To: NUES Executive Director (Co-Project Director)

School Safety, Wellness & Prevention Coordinator

Northeastern Utah Educational Services (NUES) is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and student-centered School Safety, Wellness & Prevention Coordinator to provide regional leadership in school safety, student wellness, prevention education, and mental health resource coordination.
This position plays a key role in supporting member districts and schools by coordinating safety initiatives, facilitating professional learning, building wellness capacity, and connecting educators with resources that promote healthy, safe, and supportive learning environments. The Coordinator serves as a trusted partner to administrators, counselors, educators, and community stakeholders while helping advance regional goals related to prevention, resilience, and student well-being.
The successful candidate will be a relationship-builder, strategic thinker, and effective communicator who thrives in collaborative environments and is passionate about supporting schools and students across Northeastern Utah.
Primary Responsibilities
School Safety Leadership
- Coordinate and support implementation of the Comprehensive School Threat Assessment Guidelines (CSTAG) process across participating districts.
- Provide training, coaching, and consultation related to threat assessment and prevention practices.
- Support district implementation of the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) and other school safety preparedness initiatives.
- Serve as a regional resource for school safety planning, prevention, and best practices.
Prevention Education & Training
- Coordinate and facilitate professional development related to:
- Child Abuse Prevention
- Anti-Bullying Prevention
- School Safety and Threat Assessment
- Prevention and Student Wellness Initiatives
- Assist districts in developing and implementing prevention-focused programs and resources.
- Support efforts to create positive, inclusive, and supportive school climates.
Student Wellness & Mental Health Support
- Provide guidance regarding school-based and community mental health resources.
- Support schools in strengthening wellness systems and practices.
- Collaborate with school counselors and student support teams as needed.
- Promote proactive approaches that support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral well-being.
Regional Wellness Coordination
- Lead the development and coordination of a regional Wellness Team PLC (network).
- Facilitate collaboration among educators, counselors, administrators, and community partners.
- Coordinate wellness-focused meetings, learning opportunities, and resource-sharing efforts.
- Support wellness initiatives associated with the Gold Medal Schools Program.
Grant Support & Program Development
- Support implementation and coordination of the Gold Medal Schools Grant and related programming.
- Assist districts in leveraging grant resources to enhance school wellness efforts.
- Collect and report program data, outcomes, and success stories.
- Collaborate with NUES leadership on program evaluation and continuous improvement efforts.
Communication & Relationship Building
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with member districts and community organizations.
- Communicate effectively with educators, administrators, families, and external stakeholders.
- Represent NUES at regional meetings, trainings, conferences, and community events.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to assigned initiatives.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education, School Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
- Experience working in a school or educational setting.
- Experience with school safety, prevention programming, counseling, student services, mental health initiatives, or wellness programs.
- Experience providing professional development or adult learning opportunities.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary:$80,000-$95,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience
Contract:
- Next year: 200-day position, 12-month contract ($90,000)
- Due to timing of this hire, prorated to a 117-day, 7-month contract ($56,000)

Position Overview:
NUES is seeking a dedicated and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support the behavioral and educational needs of students across our member districts. The BCBA will work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families to implement evidence-based behavioral interventions and strategies that promote positive student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Provide direct support and consultation to school teams regarding behavioral strategies and implementation
- Train and coach school staff in behavior management techniques and data collection
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behavior plans and adjust as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students with behavioral challenges
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with ethical and professional standards
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or a Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst (BCaBA)
- Master’s degree in behavior analysis, psychology, education, or related field
- Experience working in educational settings preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to travel within the NUES region as needed
