Crisis Counselor & PBIS/MTSS Specialist

Job Description:

The position of Region Crisis and PBIS Counselor includes providing support to region LEAs in promoting positive behavior interventions and supports through utilizing a multi-tiered support system (MTSS).  They will also assist region LEAs in the event of a crisis by assisting LEA staff and coordinating a response plan.  They will also assist region LEAs in the development, implementation and maintenance of an LEA’s counseling and guidance program to meet the individual and diverse needs of all students through individual planning, guidance curriculum, and responsive services.

Educational Background:

  • Admin Endorsement - Educational Leadership, BYU
  • M.Ed - School Counseling, University of Utah
  • BA - Early Childhood Education and Psychology, Westminster

Occupational/Industry Experience:

  • Northeastern Utah Educational Services - Crisis Counselor
  • Jordan School District- Early Prevention Program Specialist
  • Utah State Board of Education - School Counseling Specialist
  • Wasatch School District - Educator and School Counselor
