The NUES regional center houses a wonderful media library. This includes mostly videotapes and dvds, but we also have professional development materials (video tapes, kits and books).  A current catalog of our materials is available through the NUES home page on the Internet (www.nucenter.org). Teachers can use our “search” feature to find specific topics or titles they need and then reserve the materials. These materials are delivered to the schools in our region once a week. They may also telephone or come into the office to order or pick up items.  Each year we send an average of 1,500 videos/items to the schools in our region. This statistic does not take into account the number of times each item is used once they are in the school.  Oftentimes materials are checked out for use by a number of classes or an entire grade level or team.
As a regional center we are a member of the Utah Instructional Media Consortium and represent the 9 districts in our region at UIMC meetings. As a member of the consortium we preview videos and make recommendations concerning the selection, purchase, and distribution of school instructional media materials throughout the state.
Our media specialist is Amy Davis.  She is available to assist teachers in using our media ordering system or in finding materials at the center. She delivers materials on Tuesday to Duchesne and Uintah School Districts.  She also delivers materials on Thursday to Morgan Wasatch, South Summit, and North Summit Districts.  Amy really enjoys being out in the districts. Please call her at the NUES center if you have any questions she can help you with.
