NUES Elementary Math Endorsement Program:

2012-2013 Cohort

NUES in partnership with Southern Utah University is sponsoring Elementary Math Educator Endorsement Program beginning January 24, 2012. All educators in the NUES region are eligible participate. Others may participate on a space available basis. Informational Flyer. Please note that one of the instructors was not available for Thursday nights, so some classes will be offered on Tuesdays and the others on Thursdays.

Please submit all registration forms to NUES via fax (435-654-2403) or mail (3111 N. College Way, Heber City, UT 84032).

Classes will run Tuesday or Thursday Nights beginning January 10, 2012 from 4:30 or 5:00 PM through 9:30 or 10:00 PM and the cost per course will be $150 per course. Make your checks payable to NUES and submit the check with your registration form to the address above in bold print.

Instructions for accessing recorded classes:

  1. Click on the following link: http://uencodian-a.uen.net
  2. In your browser window you should now be seeing the main IP-VCR menu page. Under the Public Folders area you will see a listing of links. Click on folder “UEN9”.
  3. You should now see a listing of events by Title and date of recording.
  4. To view the recording click on the blue WATCH link in the left hand column of the event you would like to view.
  5. The title of your recording will be the class title followed by a time stamp of the day of the class.
  6. You will now be asked to select the speed of playback and the type of media player you would like to use; Quick-time, Windows Media, etc. Make the appropriate selection from the drop down menu based on your connection and media player capabilities. UEN recommends you use 384 kbps video/audio using Windows Media Player.  If you select Windows Media Player you may be asked to download a plug-in to view the recording.  The link to download the plug-in should be located near the viewing pane.  The plug-in will not hurt your PC.
  7. Once media player and bit rate is selected click on the “Start Streaming” button and the stream will begin to buffer, load and play in the selected media player.
