Dixie ParksAdministrative Assistant/Office Manager Job Description:One of the most varied jobs at the NUES is the Administrative Assistant/Business Adminstrator. It involves greeting and interacting with the public, working cooperatively with the staff, teachers and administrators, helping prepare the annual buget and assuring internal office operations run smoothly, efficiently and in an organized fashion. A variety of duties fall under 'other duties and responsibilities as requested.' Serving as transportation specialist, special occasion organizer, filling in for other departments and assisting with registration at the Rural Schools Summer Conference are a few of these duties. I came to the NUES in 1981, since that time I have seen many changes in administration, staff and board members. In 1982 the NU Center purchased the first Apple IIE computer, which was used solely by the director and secretary. Then came the copy machine, the fax machine, cell phones, fiber optics, email, pdas, etc. It has been a great time to be involved with the growth of the Center. Talking and working with personnel from all nine NUES school districts is the most enjoyable part of the position. Occupational Experience:
