Media:
The NUES regional service center houses a wonderful media library of over 6,000 titles and more arrive every year. The media collection consists of primarily VHS videos and DVDs, but also includes some great instructional kits (Rocks, Fossils, Etc.). A current catalog of our materials can be viewed by clicking on the media library link below or to the right.
Once there, you can use the "search" feature to find titles on specific educational topics. In order to reserve and checkout a title, see the instructions to the right. Titles are delivered to region schools once a week (weather permitting). Items may also be picked up in person.
As a Regional Service Center we are a member of the Utah Instruction Media Consortium and represent the 9 region districts at UIMC meetings. As a member of the consortium we preview new titles and make recommendations concerning the selection, purchase and distribution of new purchases. Titles that include duplication rights can also be copied and placed in school libraries or teacher's classrooms. Currently we are providing one free copy per school. Additional copies cost $1 per DVD.
Jennifer Ostergaard is the NUES Media Specialist and she is available to assist teachers in using the media ordering system or finding materials. Her delivery schedule is as follows:
- Tuesdays - Duchesne and Uintah Districts
- Thursdays - Morgan, North Summit, Park City, South Summit and Wasatch
